ABOUT US

Our mission statement speaks about our beliefs: "Do what you love and love what you do".

We have a core belief in balance. Balance is not just the physical alignment of the center of gravity. Balance is a life that maintains a blend of work, leisure, family, friends and the spiritual.

Director

I'm the owner, founder and director of Sensory Therapeutics. I've had a special interest in sensory disorders since graduate school, Florida International University, leading me to my two speciality areas in Vestibular and Vision disorders. I demonstrated professional and clinical skills to receive Competency Certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation in 1999. These skills complement my former training in neurological disorders, CVA's  and Parkinson's Disease. I was born and raised on Long Island N.Y, received my undergraduate degree at University at Albany, but have lived in Jupiter since 1975 with my husband. I enjoy being outdoors in nature, birding, pool exercises, bicycling at Riverbend Park, technology and computer challenges and instructing our patients and the community in dizziness and balance issues.

Occupational Therapist

On a professional level, I bring with me 13 years of gentle therapy care for vestibular complexities ranging from simple to not so simple variants of the same diagnoses. Other than my competency training in vestibular rehab at Emory (2010) I am also fortunate to have learned from the best at Johns Hopkins, Duke University, the University of Pittsburgh and accomplished OTs in the field of adult vestibular research. This helps me with keeping my knowledge current and evidence based so I can guide our clients navigate their vestibular and balance related issues, safely and quickly. Finally, in my years of experience as a vestibular therapist I am forever indebted to all my clients for their trust in me, the vestibular related experiences they have shared with me that goes beyond that scope on any textbook. This has further aided with customizing care to individual needs.

On a personal level, I am told I come across as being compassionate, and that I have a hard time hiding my feelings for travel, art and interior design.

Know that I care about what you are going through and perhaps help you with gentle trusting care.
